Editorial policy
United Culture Journal aims to explain cultural subjects clearly and with care. Our editorial approach values accuracy, context, independence and honest correction over sweeping claims or easy answers.
Accuracy and context
Writers should check names, terms, dates and other factual details against suitable sources, and present interpretations as interpretations. Articles should give enough context for readers to understand the subject without implying that one account speaks for an entire community. Uncertainty and limits should be stated plainly.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a partnership or contribution. If a material error is identified, we review it and correct the text when warranted; significant changes should be noted in the article. Readers can send corrections through the Contact page with the relevant article and detail.
Partnerships and illustrations
Paid, partner or otherwise supported material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partner does not receive control over unrelated coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where used, they should be identified, and they are not evidence of a real person, object or event.
Culture is shared, and never still.
A custom can mean different things to different people. We look closely at the details, contexts and changes that make culture worth discussing.
